Engineering Specifications

Tent Specifications include:
  • Tents are engineered to meet the requirements ASCE 7-05, IBC 2006, and IFC 2006 and will withstand 90 mph, 3 second wind gust, exposure “C” including dead load, pre-stress, and 3 pounds per square foot (psf) uniform gravity load.

  • All the prints have an Ohio Professional Engineering (P.E.) stamp of approval, which should be easily transferable to most states and will meet all the latest regulation and code requirements for local, state, and federal temporary structure building permits.

  • Each tent will be shipped with a laminated copy of the engineered print that has been approved by the P. E. certifying compliance with this design for meeting all the requirements listed above.

  • The heavy duty 2” weldable reinforcement webbing used on the lace lines, hip lines, and between center poles has an 11,000 pound break strength rating.

  • The tieback straps are manufactured to meet a 10,000 pound break strength. These straps are anchored into a base plate mounted winch that is also rated for 10,000 pounds. This heavy duty tie back system is designed to anchor the tent and withstand the forces from storms packing wind gust up to 90 mph.
